About us

Eastbury Church is a family church working with the local community of Eastbury.

We are seeking to offer the opportunity for people from all walks of life to see the transforming power of Jesus in people’s lives. We cover a wide age range, and come from a variety of church backgrounds, and none! There are people at Eastbury Church who come to the Northwood area from all over the world. We have close ties with the London School of Theology and with Northwood Military Base.

Eastbury Church is led by the Reverend Helen Wilkinson who is on the clergy team of Emmanuel Church, the local Church of England church situated in Northwood High Street. In 2002 she left the teaching profession in order to be ordained into the Church of England, and in 2008 she became an associate vicar with responsibility for Eastbury within the parish of Emmanuel.

Everyone is welcome any Sunday morning at 10am. We meet in the hall of Eastbury Farm Primary School, and included in the Sunday morning programme there are also groups for children and young people.

We also meet in smaller groups throughout the week in people’s homes. Every Friday evening during term time there is children’s club, called X:site, held in the school, while our Youth Groups meets on Saturday evenings, offering a wide range of activities including games, films, trips and discussions.

On certain Sundays of the year we proactively join with other groups in the local community in services to celebrate special seasonal events such as Remembrance Day, Christingle, the Carol Service, and our Holiday Club celebration.

One annual special event is our Easter Holiday Club. This is open to all children of primary school age. There are also refreshments for adults.
